Levels & Class Offerings 

Pre- Beginner Here we offer classes for enthusiastic dancers who are not yet potty- trained. We begin to explore key principles in class room behavior, dance education and basic movement. There is an emphasis on fine and gross motor skills and understanding the beginning concepts in the art of dance! Parent participation is required at this level. 

Beginner This level is designed for students with limited to or having no previous experience with dance curriculum. Dancers are exposed to entry level technique, movement and understanding of dance conceptsDancers learn combinations throughout the year that are to be performed at our annual Recital. 

Intermediate This level is where students with basic foundation of dance concepts begin to focus on technique. Here students are exposed to more difficult dance concepts, combinations and are further exposed to different dance styles. The curriculum of the intermediate dancer is extensive and sets a stong basis in technique and over all body awareness and articulation. Dancers learn combinations throughout the year that are to be performed at our annual Recital. 

Advanced Dancers who have have progressed to the advanced level have mastered the basic skills taught at the beginner and intermediate levels. At this level dancers are dedicated to their dance studies and have put an emphasis on the importance and understanding of technique and performance skills. Here dancers are offered the opportunity to travel and perform around the country and study with guest dance faculty. Dancers learn combinations throughout the year that are to be performed at our annual Recital. 

Pre- Professional Here we offer individualized classes for those wishing to pursue a career in Dance or Musical Theatre. Students work with professional faculty who draw from their own experiences working as trained professionals. 

Adult Classes Our Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop classes are offered for men and women ages 18 and older. These classes range in level from Beginner to Alumni. Technique is taught and reinforced in all of our adult classes. Dancers learn combinations throughout the year that are to be performed at our annual Recital. 

We Currently Offer Classes in 

Ballet is the foundation of all styles and genres of Dance. Here students study the technique needed to be proficient in other areas of dance and prevent injury. We require every Danc'letics Dancer to Participate in Ballet Classes. 

Tap You've got RHYTHM! Students study and develop coordination through movement using sounds and rhythm. Classes focus on timing, phrasing and musicality. 

Acro Our 30 min. class focuses on a fitness based warm up, stretching and perfection of basic tumbling skills. 

 

Contemporary A style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

Modern A form of contemporary theatrical and concert dance requiring a special technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

Hip-Hop Our 30 min. class starts with a conditioning warm-up and teaches contemporary hip hop street jazz to CLEAN music within the genre. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

 

Jazz This style of dance showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own unique way. We focus on technique as much as an energetic and fun atmosphere. More advanced Jazz dancers focus on unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns.Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

 

Musical Theater Singing, Dancing and Acting. True on stage sining, musical theatre dance styles and character development implemented though professional instruction. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

 

Pointe Intermediate and advanced dancer may choose to continue their ballet training in Pointe. Placement for this class is based on level advancement/ evaluations though our technique classes. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

Ballet Technique We offer 6 Ballet/ Pointe Technique classes during the week. Students may begin their technique training based on teacher evaluation and recommendation. Beginner - Advanced soft sole Technique classes as well as Pointe technique classes are in addition to the students required Ballet Classes. Students who would like to take Pointe classes must first take the required Technique classes and be evaluated to advance to Pointe work. 

Daddy/ Daughter This 45 min. class is a fun way for Daddy's to take time out of their busy schedules to share in their Childs love of dance. We start class with a condition based warm up that helps focus on flexibility and coordination. The class prepares a dance for our end of year Recital. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

Mother/ Daughter This class is meant for you and your daughter to set a side some time each week to share in your love of dance! We start with a warm up focused on stretching and Jazz or Tap Technique. Mother/ Daughter class prepares a dance for our end of year Recital. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

Mother/ Son This class is meant for you and your son to set a side some time each week to share in your love of dance! We start with a warm up focused on Tap Technique and coordination.  Mother/ Son class prepares a dance for our end of year Recital. Teacher recommendation and approval required for class participation. 

Solo, Duets and Trios Students have the opportunity to work one on one with our Faculty to get a more individualized feedback on their own personal technique and performance skills.  Due to high demand students wishing to take a Solo, Duet or Trio must place with name on a waiting list. List wait times vary on availability and scheduling.
