National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) at Danc'letics
Danc'letics is a proud member of the National Dance Educators Organization. We are thrilled to announce that we have applied and been accepted as a Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) in both the Junior (grades 6-8) and Secondary School (grades 9-12) Levels. The NHSDA is a program of the NDEO and is one of the most exciting benefits that NDEO offers members.
What Your Child Will Learn
What to Expect in Class
Induction is earned through accumulation of 15 points (Junior) or 30 points (Secondary) for meritorious work in dance
Students must meet a minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 and demonstrate character through collaborative teamwork and leadership
Induction ceremony recognizes new members — inductions are handled on a rolling basis
Students who are in 11th or 12th grade can apply for the annual NHSDA Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award — the highest student dance award in the nation
Graduating with Honors students submit a 250-500 word essay describing the impact of dance on their life and future community impact
Growth Path
Junior Program (grades 6-8) promotes a desire for life-long learning in dance and encourages appreciation for dance as an art form. Secondary Program (grades 9-12) identifies Honor Students for nomination to the NHSDA Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award — one of the highest honor programs for dance in the United States.
